In 2002 a group of friends decided to invest in Argentina. Each a wine lover. Each excited about the opportunity for Argentinian wines on the world stage. They purchased the land that was to become Finca Ambrosia and set out to make their collective ambition a reality. At that time, the Gualtallary district in the Tupungato department, in the heart of the Uco Valley, was beginning to capture the interest of wine producers mostly due to its soil and climate characteristics. Over the years 3 additional parcels of land were purchased resulting in the current vineyard. Gualtallary is now considered the finest terroir for production of premium wines in the Mendoza Province.
MoreGualtallary is the ideal region for grape cultivation due to its peculiar soil formation: pure limestone over quaternary gravels. The presence of clay in the soil is another important factor in vine development. Their soils are the perfect ecosystem which allows the plants to grow with a natural control of its quality.
The estate division in special parcels for each of their varietals, as result of an exhaustive soil study done by Perro Parra, terroir expert, allowing them to maximize the quality of the produced wine, guarantying that each grape varietal has the essential conditions for its best yield.
In Finca Ambrosía, the complete harvest process is carefully done by hand, thus preserving their grapes properties and quality.
