Since 1988 Angel A. Mendoza, a well-known Argentine winemaker, together with his wife Rosalía E. Pereyra and their three children Juan Manuel, Lucas Nicolás and María Laura began the design of a family micro-enterprise: Domaine St Diego. The development of a worthy millennial activity: being a family of passionate winemakers. The main objective has been "the bottling and sale on the property" of a limited production of wines from his own vineyard. The domain is located in a privileged terroir in the district of Lunlunta, in the department of Maipú in the province of Mendoza: Land of wines with more than 300 years of Christian history.
Family passion transmitted from parents to children in the noble trade of winemaking, which fills the tables of exclusive clients and friends with pleasure, health, coexistence and friendship. The dream of a family that enjoys what it does, exalting the flavor of the land that gives it a dark, tame and warm wine. Made with the same fervor as his grandparents.
"To enjoy the good life and wines it is necessary to cultivate the senses (sight, smell, taste, touch, hearing, common sense!) And curiosity. Wine is a wonderful world of sensations that contains mystery, sophistication, charm , joy and surprise ". Angel Mendoza
MoreIn the winery, electrical energy is used in the processes of vinification, racking, aging and conservation of wines at a constant temperature (Winter - Summer between 12 and 15 ° C). Due to the objective of reducing costs and ethical commitments to the environment, they have decided to invest in solar energy emission silver of the order of 10KW to compensate for conventional electricity consumption.
“At DOMAINE ST DIEGO we want to use Photovoltaic Energy from the Sun for cultivation, processing, extraction, conservation and packaging. It will be the most eloquent sign of our commitment and respect for nature. We dream of the sustainability of our project. We choose the Sun for work and the Moon to celebrate ”. Angel Mendoza
