The Altocedro winemaker strived for this terroir to encourage Malbec to be fresh, fruity and easy to drink. Altocedro means "tall cedar," and represents the Lebanese-Argentine heritage of winemaker and owner Karim Mussis Saffie, and a cedar bowl towering over the cellar. Altocedro's winery is located in the growing region of La Consulta, Valle de Uco, Mendoza. This is one of the main Argentine growing areas.

Altocedro was born in 1998 on a centenary winery, surrounded by 17 cedars and located in La Consulta, Valle de Uco. Karim Mussi Saffie, winemaker and owner of Altocedro, along with his family, have been part of the wine industry for more than 35 years, a pioneer in the export of wine products.

We celebrate our love for the land where we live and work creating great wines in one of the best ecosystems for Malbec: La Consulta. Altocedro is a project focused 100% on the terroir. Both the grapes, as well as the elaboration, aging and fractionation of our wines, are produced in La Consulta, a traditional and privileged area of ​​the Uco Valley.
