Matías Riccitelli is one of the most successful and innovative young winemakers. He worked at the Fabre Montmayou winery and developed his personal project, Riccitelli Wines, a project that has become one of the most awarded and successful new wineries in the country. The winery is located in Las Compuertas, the highest area of ​​the traditional Luján de Cuyo, Menodza. It also works with small producers located in the best terroirs at the foot of the Andes Mountains such as Gualtallary, Chacayes, Altamira and La Carrera. Seeking in its vineyards the maximum expression of each terroir while maintaining the greatest purity and delicacy both in winemaking and aging.

About Matias Riccitelli

The winery is located in the heart of Vistalba, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza. Today Matias Riccitelli Wines manages 20 hectares divided into three different vineyards in the Mendoza region. Most of the vineyards were planted at the beginning of the 20th century (1908). The grapes are grown in a very traditional way, maintaining very low yields thanks to a short pruning and thinning in order to obtain grapes of the highest quality.

The harvest is done manually in small trays of 20 kilos in order not to damage the grapes. After a meticulous selection the grapes are sent to small concrete basins with temperature control.

This is a young and dynamic project, in which Matías wants to express the full potential of Argentine terroirs, working with constant care and personal style - essential elements to make great wines-
