Weinert wines reflect the passion for mature vintage wines, personality and style. The grapes from vineyards from the town of Ugarteche, Lujan, of whose low natural yield and flood irrigation give the wines great aromatic concentration and firm tannins, following the classic Bordeaux school. This 9-year-old cabernet presents notes of black fruits such as cassis and very ripe blackberries along with liquor notes from its passage through barrels.

Description

Bodega & Cavas de Weinert was founded in 1975 in Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza by the Brazilian of German origin Don Bernardo Weinert, who, fascinated by the world of wines, decided to set up his own winery in Argentina with an unconditional philosophy: to produce high quality wines. quality. Before embarking on such a task, he made an extensive study of Mendoza: its climate, soil and vines; and he found in Luján de Cuyo the ideal place for his undertaking. After an arduous restoration process in the building acquired in 1974, he brought the latest winemaking technology of that time and joined with Raúl de la Mota, known worldwide as the father of modern viticulture and also named the best winemaker of the 20th century in Argentina. In 1996, the Swiss-born winemaker Hubert Weber joined the winery, who at just 27 became the main winemaker at Bodega & Cavas de Weinert to date.

About Weinert

Until 2017, the winery accompanied the aging of Malbec in the oldest barrel in the world for 23 years. Its harvest and vinification correspond to Don Raúl de la Mota, considered the best winemaker of the 20th century in Argentina.

The celebration of wine recalls its connection with the times of the world as a setting, in which the drink reflects the dark slumber of the earth that receives the rains and dew from the sky. Thus the encounter between heaven and earth dwells in the wine, the fruit of the vine, a fruit in which the nourishing element of the earth and the sun of heaven are entrusted to each other.
