Viña 1924 is an Old Malbec Vineyard located in the Vistalba Valley, in Mendoza, original and traditional in the area, the first record of its existence is from 1924. A Malbec Vineyard with more than 80 years old belonging to the first steps of viticulture in Vistalba and Mendoza. It is one of the most beautiful and old farms in Mendoza, one of the jewels of Lujan de Cuyo.

About De Angeles

The "entry level" wine is "Malbec" and it has high levels of fruit and complexity, it is difficult to call this wine "entry level", only 20% has passed through 2nd use French oak barrels preserving its fruit characteristics. and refreshing, it is a high caliber Malbec that is not argued in oak, in the case of this "Malbec De Angeles" you will find only traces of vanilla or cinnamon, however the most prominent aromas and flavors are a seductive group of fruit of fresh raspberry, cherry and plum, and a lingering mint and floral quality.

The “icon” wine is “Gran Malbec”, it is another deeply fruity Malbec with similar characteristics to “Malbec”, but its fruits are juicier, darker and more voluptuous, with delicate vanilla waves in its aromas, and a firm tannic structure. and good acidity on the palate.

De Angeles Cabernet was chosen, in 2020, by Tim Atkins as the best Cabernet Sauvignon in Argentina. Being a wine that finds the perfect balance between strength and elegance. With a power body dressed in velvet, herbal aromas and tastes of Sauvignon but with super round and well unctuous tannins related to that almost 100 year old vineyard in Vistalba. Its passage through French oak barrels for 14 months, in addition, gives it smoked chocolate that is the icing on the cake for the end.
