Tomás Stahringer presented on the closing of our report this new “Malbec Cot” made from a strict carbonic maceration with whole bunches from La Consulta, Valle de Uco. The result is a wine with a new and powerful expression with notes of deep red fruits, among which cherries, plums and sour cherries stand out with floral and sweet notes. On the palate it is tense and tasty, super juicy, flowing linear and very full of flavor. A novelty that we recommend looking for entities that ends. This is a limited quantity first edition.

Description

The production of Tomero wines begins at our Don Antonio estate, in the Uco Valley where we select the grapes with the best characteristics for each of our varietals. This is how the Tomero Gran Reserva Malbec was born, as well as the Reserva de Tomero line that It is characterized by unconventional varieties such as Petit Verdot and Semillon, paying tribute to the noble profession of man to channel water from the Andes and distribute it in those vineyards that by law have the right to use river water.

About Vinyes Ocults

The vineyard is located in the Los Huarpes depression, east of the Uco Valley, on the north bank of the Las Tunas River, in the province of Mendoza, Argentina.

This is an area of remarkable thermal amplitude, temperatures fluctuate between minimums of 10 ° C and maximums of 35 ° C, during the summer period and this represents an ideal variation for the cultivation and quality of Malbec, the Argentine emblem wine. Thus, it is observed that the climate of the Uco Valley is dry and sunny, the soils are sandy and of alluvial origin, with the presence of silts and good permeability; being qualities that facilitate a complete maturation of the grapes and the obtaining of wines with notable traits of fruit trees and tannic load. The farm is irrigated with pure melt water from the Andes mountain range, which reaches it through streams and underground waters.
