Clean and bright color, with a deep red hue and purple hues. Notes of dried plum stand out on the nose, with a slight contribution of red pepper and graphite, and all the complexity of spices provided by the different oaks. On the palate it is very balanced, concentrated, with friendly tannins that highlight its personality and show its long aging in the bottle.

Description

Gauchezco's roots begin in our historic and legendary vineyard, founded in 1881 by the governor of Mendoza Tiburcio Benegas in Barrancas Maipú. At this site, the first premium quality grapes were planted in Argentina. The long-desired dream of the Anesi family came true when they finally purchased their ideal vineyard on the legendary site that is now Viñedo Gauchezco. With fierce dedication, they continue to make this glorious historic property synonymous with world-class wine. Its production is centered in the main regions of Argentina: Maipú and Valle de Uco in Mendoza, and Cafayate in the province of Salta.

About Gauchezco

The main production areas that Gauchezco Vineyard & Winery focuses on are two:

Barrancas, Maipú (820 meters above sea level), part of the most traditional First Zone of Mendoza. The climate is moderate desert, with deep alluvial soils where clay, sand and limestone predominate.

Vista Flores, Paraje Altamira and La Consulta, in Valle de Uco (at 1,100 meters of altitude), the most prestigious wine region in Mendoza. Cold nights, sunny days, low humidity and a great thermal amplitude; Shallow alluvial soils where sand, limestone and rocks of different sizes predominate.
