It is an opulent and exclusive wine. A limited batch of 1500 bottles was produced, chosen from 6 barrels. Its winemaker, Pablo Bassin, indicated that the wine rested for a whole year in the bottle and that gives it a roundness and a special balance. The complexity of Valle de Uco and its diversity of terroirs combine to give birth to an emblematic specimen: the vigor of the soils is present.

Description

The Mosquita Muerta project began in 2010 with the help of José Millán (son). It is focused on the development of Premium Blends. For this, a careful selection of different varieties located in own vineyards and third parties in the most important areas of Mendoza is made. About Bodega Toneles

Toneles was founded in 1922 by the Armando family who built their dream of immigrants with the classic, elegant air and with a certain charm of the belle epoque, marked by details and art nouveau ornaments, which give the building great beauty and personality.

Although at the beginning it was called Armando Hermanos, it was yielding to the popular denomination "Bodega de los Toneles" due to the impact caused by its huge French oak vessels where they grew their beloved wines.

Eighty years later, in 2002, the winery was acquired by the Millán family who rescued the old spirit but with the contribution of modern technology and construction details that recovered their memory of glory. Recognized by Great Wine Capitals with the following awards: 2013 Family Winery silver medal and Architecture and landscapes silver medal; 2014 gold medal Architecture and landscapes; 2016 Restaurant bronze medal and 2017 Restaurant gold medal.

Wine transmits in its spirit the manifestation of the earth and the work of human beings. Therefore, it was decided from the beginning that the winery would only take grapes from small-scale vineyards. These are found in various regions, where fewer varieties are planted per hectare and quantity is replaced by quality in terms of expected yield, thus preserving and transmitting the values and personality of each farm.
