En un primer momento, la bodega recibía el nombre Nube Negra Wines, en honor a su primer vino presentado, que a su vez había surgido como un homenaje a una canción del cantautor español Joaquín Sabina.

Sin embargo, ya con El Espía en el mercado, el proyecto personal comenzó a expandirse y finalmente llegó el momento de la consolidación, momento en el que fue rebautizado con el nombre Eduardo Vidal Wines.

En este contexto, y luego de varios años de crecimiento sostenido, durante los cuales que logró duplicar la producción (si bien siempre mantiene como eje la idea de alumbrar partidas cuidadas y muy limitadas), Vidal está presentando en sociedad sus últimas añadas.
