The Rivier Family Winery was started by Jean Rivier, an immigrant from Switzerland, in 1956 adopting the slogan "Viticultores Criadores" to make his own grapes.

Its vineyards are located in the Uco Valley, with an ideal climate, with more than 300 days of sunshine. With deep soils with sand and gravel, at an altitude of 975 meters above sea level.

For all this, the wines of the Rivier Winery enjoy a well-deserved prestige.

The winery's building structure, built in the 1950s, was modernized in 1993.

It responds to the new methodologies and needs in the elaboration and aging with the application of modern technology guaranteeing the quality of the wines.

Directed personally by its owners, who take care of the harvest of their vineyards and the elaboration, aging and subsequent commercialization of the wines.

It currently has 900 m2 of cellar of which 450 m2 are occupied with wine vessels and the rest is dedicated to the storage of barrels and bottle packs. Barrels: it has 140 barrels of 225 liters, of French origin from Tronçais and other forests in the Allier region. Storage: capacity to stow up to 250,000 bottles.

The fermentation body has 18 old cement vessels, adapted to the latest technology, coated in epoxy, with temperature control and accessories in stainless steel. Conservation, 75% of the winery's capacity is in air-conditioned basements, with 33 vessels in GRP or steel with epoxy. Stabilizations, cuts and conservation are carried out in them.
