Description

At the foot of the Andes Mountains, in the Pedernal Valley, FINCA LAS MORAS was born, as an experimental winery. After years of studies and trials, it is positioned as the first high-end winery in the region. Its wines are an innovative proposal, setting a trend in Argentine enology and also exporting to more than 70 countries.

About Finca Las Moras

Finca Las Moras is the pioneer winery in the production of high-end wines in San Juan from the reconversion of vineyards in 1993 carried out by Richard Smart. Its vineyards are surrounded by mulberry trees, thus generating the name of the winery.

San Juan with a focus on Shiraz and Malbec together with Viognier and Sauvignon Blanc is the new frontier for the production of fine wines in Argentina. The San Juan River is a vital source of irrigation in this area, providing pure melt water from the Andes to the Atlantic, giving rise to the Zonda and Tulum Valleys, unlike the Pedernal Valley - considered today the valley par excellence for the cultivation of high quality strains - generated by the glacial movement. The bright sun and extremely dry climate make the valleys very conducive to growing organic grapes.

Finca Las Moras with more than 1,100 hectares of vineyards in the different valleys, is focused on sustainability, continuous innovation and culture of exploitation of micro regions that provides complexity and elegance that impacts the fruit in each of its wine lines.
