Very intense dark red color with tile reflections. Clean and Bright. The complexity of the varietal composition of this wine shows aromas of red and black fruits, spices such as white pepper, cloves and cardamom on the nose. Herbal notes of eucalyptus, thyme and rosemary. The olfactory descriptors of its passage through the barrel are present, such as cocoa and vanilla. It is a wine with a lot of presence from the entrance. It develops all its volume with a high impact in the middle of the mouth, showing its rounded tannins as a result of the blend of four strains. It has a great length in the mouth with a herbaceous and delicate finish and a high persistence.

About Benegas

In 1883, Federico Benegas Lynch's great-grandfather, Don Tiburcio Benegas founded the "El Trapiche" winery. Faced with the economic crisis that the province was going through, which was a producer of alfalfa and wheat, Don Tiburcio had the vision that Mendoza should be a great producer of fine wines worldwide (until that moment during the 19th century there were between 500 and 2,000 hectares of vineyards planted) and not only focuses on his project, but also encourages other producers to incorporate new techniques and plant fine varieties by distributing the stakes that he had brought from France to anyone who would like to plant vines. Thus Don Tiburcio became one of the most important personalities of 19th century American viticulture along with Agoston Haraszthy in California and Silvestre Ochagavia in Chile.

At the beginning of the '70s, when the Argentine wine industry was immersed in a crisis, the shareholders who controlled the family company Benegas Hnos. Decided to dissolve El Trapiche, and all the assets were sold separately: brands, vineyards, it was demolished. the winery and is sold subdivided.
