In the memory of Julio Camsen, his youthful days were marked, when with his grandfather and father they worked together in the Mendoza vineyards. This is where his passion for this land and for its noblest fruit, Wine, was born.
In a constant search for the ideal place to make his own wines, it was in 2002 that on the slopes of the Andes, next to the Tupungato Volcano, he found a farm with the perfect conditions to achieve unique wines. A 230-hectare land located in the Gualtallary valley, at 1,400 meters above sea level, was the place chosen to create Huentala Wines. It is in that place close to heaven, where currently the vineyards are watered by the purest water from the melting of the Cordillera and where the effort of the vineyards to grow makes the quality of the wines.
With a lot of effort, passion and work, in 2010 the first stage of the project began with the planting of the first 85 hectares of Malbec. At that time Huentala Wines was born on the estate that today bears the name of Julio's mother, La Isabel Estate.
Guided by the best professionals in the industry, Julio decided to unleash his passion for wine. And together with his family, they lead the Huentala Wines project, which today has José “Pepe” Morales as the main winemaker of the project. Agronomist Alberto “Toti” Benenati also works on the team, and recently a detailed soil study was completed with geophysicist Guillermo Corona.
