Bodega Tinto Negro is one of several projects carried out by Alejandro Sejanovich, who was director of vineyards at Bodega Catena Zapata for 16 years. Tinto Negro began as a winery to make only Malbec from Mendoza, with the intention of exploiting the diversity of the strain from the soils, the ways of vinification and others. Currently in the portfolio there are Cabernet Franc and Sangiovese labels. TINTO NEGRO, which means "black wine" in Spanish, is meant to celebrate the essence of Malbec in Mendoza. Known for its dark and blackish color, Malbec is definitely a Black Red.
